About

AltaSea’s annual fundraiser Blue Hour is an immersive culinary and cultural experience that brings together world-renowned chefs, ocean advocates, and changemakers to reimagine how food can protect our planet.

This year, Emmy Award–winning chef, writer, and global cultural ambassador Andrew Zimmern will headline the event and lead a live cooking and tasting experience featuring sustainable seafood, sea vegetables, and alternative ocean protein bites. Known for using food as a bridge between cultures, Andrew’s work champions responsible sourcing, ocean health, and the preservation of culinary traditions tied to coastal communities around the world.

Andrew will be joined by 7–10 acclaimed chefs, each presenting a signature bite that highlights blue foods, regenerative practices, and eco-conscious sourcing. Together, they tell a collective story—one that connects flavor, science, culture, and responsibility, all aligned with AltaSea’s mission to accelerate ocean-based solutions for climate resilience and food security.
