Join us at AltaSea for a special Open House celebrating innovation, conservation, and the future of our ocean economy. This event will spotlight the exciting reopening of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium following its major renovation, alongside a forward-looking conversation on how partners like Suntex Marinas are shaping the future of recreational boating in California. Set against the vibrant backdrop of the Port of Los Angeles, this gathering brings together community members, industry leaders, and ocean advocates for a morning of connection and discovery.
The program will feature Caroline Brady, Executive Director of the Friends of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, who will share updates on the aquarium’s reopening and its continued role in marine education and community engagement. Attendees will also hear from Hampus Idsater of Suntex Marinas, offering insights into the evolving landscape of marina development and coastal recreation.
Guests are invited to explore resource booths, connect with organizations working across the blue economy, and experience firsthand the innovation happening at AltaSea’s campus. Doors open at 10:00 AM, with the program beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by networking and resource booths. Open Houses are free and open to the public—come be part of the conversation shaping the future of our oceans.
