Blue Hour Ocean Songs: It's a Wrap!
Blue Hour: Ocean Songs at Berth 60 – Land’s End was a resounding success, celebrating several AltaSea milestones: our tenth year as an organization, our fifth annual Blue Hour event, and our first major gathering in the newly renovated spaces at Berth 60, including the debut of Land’s End overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
With engaging art installations from five talented artists, a moving choral performance by The L.A. Choral Lab, live music from The Classics Los Angeles Dance Band and amazing food from Trani’s Dockside, Miller Butler’s wood-fired pizzas alongside delicious desserts from Sirens by the Sea, the fundraiser was our best yet.
This year’s event also included the Ocean Songs Auction featuring unique items designed to inspire adventurers, foodies and self-care enthusiasts. From a 10-day Galápagos Islands expedition to a luxurious skin care gift basket and five more prizes, there was something for everyone.
The evening brought together a diverse group of scientists, artists, environmental advocates, philanthropists, and community leaders to raise awareness and support for AltaSea’s initiatives that will impact the local, national and global economies.
Additionally, AltaSea CEO Terry Tamminen announced during the program that the Lundquist family would once again generously match all donations up to $500,000 — an incredible gift to our programming.
All funds raised during the fundraiser and auction will go toward AltaSea’s educational programming, ensuring the Port of Los Angeles is not only at the forefront of the blue economy but also empowering the next generation to be among those leaders.
We are humbled and inspired by everyone’s support and the camaraderie from the evening, which will propel us forward into the next decade and beyond.
