Vote for AltaSea!

Help make this year’s The Blue Hour: Ocean of Inclusion free!

Taking place on October 9, 2021, this year’s Blue Hour theme is Ocean of Inclusion.  As our signature event under our Project Blue initiative, The Blue Hour will celebrate both education and the diversity of the Port community.  The LA Harbor Area is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities, all who have benefitted from the nearby sea.  This community is intertwined with the beauty of our ocean and the economic impact it has on daily life.  Occurring at the Korean Bell of Friendship at Angel’s Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro, The Blue Hour: Ocean of Inclusion, will highlight all these aspects and provide a night of art, cultural diversity, entertainment, and camaraderie.

We would like to make this event free for the community, and that’s where we need your vote!  AltaSea has applied for a Councilman Buscaino Community Grant to support this event.  Funding is ultimately determined by voting.  Rules state it is one vote per person.  More details can be found at the website, but given AltaSea’s efforts in ocean science, education, and business, many of you have a vested interest in AltaSea’s success.  Voting concludes on May 31, 2021.  All that is needed is your email, zip code, and selection of The Blue Hour.  In fact, The Blue Hour is the second option!

Help AltaSea continue to pave the way for LA as the leader in the Blue Economy.  AltaSea is the beacon for the next generation, and we would love to share that with you!

Check out the moving and evocative film, The Story of the Ocean, produced and directed by AltaSea partners, including local artist Jack Baric for The Blue Hour 2020.

Thanks for your time and your vote!
