Statement on the Passing of Wallis Annenberg
July 28, 2025

Wallis Annenberg had a multigenerational impact on Los Angeles and beyond. Her leadership and support through the Annenberg Foundation was the catalyst that created AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles. Our 35-acre campus is a testament to her tireless commitment to building a better future and planet through innovation. Wallis’ leadership will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on throughout Los Angeles in the people and organizations she touched. The AltaSea family sends our sincere condolences to Wallis’ children and grandchildren, with the fervent belief that their mother and grandmother made our world a better place.
