After several years laying the groundwork, San Pedro’s long-anticipated AltaSea marine research center is about to move into the spotlight. Architectural designs for the campus were unveiled at a reception dubbed “Transformation” last week in downtown Los Angeles by Gensler, a global architecture, design and planning firm working on the project.
